The Museo del Seminario Conciliar de Nueva Caceres is inside the Holy Rosary Minor Seminary of Naga. It is a museum containing the relics of the Archdiocese of Nueva Caceres.

Most of the displays are memorabilia in images, paintings, bibles, relics, and artifacts. In the archaeological section of the museum, there are artifacts hailing from the province’s precolonial era. The art section exhibits old artworks by Mariano Asuncion, Jose Camacho, and more – owned by the Archdiocese. On September 9, 1988, the museum was named a national historical landmark. What used to be a vocation house from the 18th century is now a testimony of faith and religion in Bicol.

From Naga to Museo del Seminario Conciliar de Nueva Caceres

1. Head to Quirino Highway in Manila.
2. There, ride a bus from either PhilTranco, Isarog Bus Co., or the Peñafrancia Bus Lines that are all heading to Naga.
3. Ask to be alighted at Naga City Terminal. From there, ride a tricycle heading to the Metropolitan Cathedral Compound.

1. EXPLORE THE MANY ROOMS
– There are a lot of rooms in the museum showing different charms. There is the Gallery of Bikolano Ecclesiastics which shows memorabilia of prominent Bikolano clergymen. The Vessels and Artifacts room contains the rich history of Filipino Christianity, found in the mixed collection of liturgical materials. There are more rooms you’ll be curious to visit!

Admission is free, however, Guests and Visitors have the option to donate. The proceeds go to the maintenance and improvement of the museum.
